Established in 2011 by founders Chad and Donna Coerse, Emergency Restoration Services (ERS) began by focusing on mold testing and mold remediation services. The company has grown to offer other related services like water, fire, and smoke damage restoration. This growth also prompted the construction of a new 15,000-square-foot facility to accommodate the future needs of our customers in and throughout the Hampton Roads area for years to come.
Chad, one of our co-founders, is a former fire department Lieutenant and owner of CL & Sons Construction, Inc. From his past career experience, he saw an opportunity to fulfill a community need by starting a company specializing in mold testing and remediation services that has morphed into today's version of ERS.

We were referred to Emergency Restoration Services by our friends that had used them to remediate their house. Chad came out and looked at our office building and identified several rooms that he had concerns about. We agreed to do some additional testing. A third party lab was used and provided a very detailed report on the types of mold that we had, the amount of mold that we had, and a synopsis of the health risk associated with each type of mold. Once we new what we were dealing with he then laid out a very detailed scope of work, as well as described what other possibilities might lay under the drywall out of sight. I am very happy to say that the proposed price was what we actually paid. There were no hidden cost and the time frame was dead on. These guys know how to do their job and the do it well!

Chad came to the house and evaluated our space. He was honest and his estimates were accurate. He sent off mold samples to the lab in North Carolina and was prompt in providing me the results. His crew was professional and effective. They worked quickly and did a GREAT job. This is an honest, hard-working company. I recommend them to anyone needing their service.

Fantastic contractors to work with. They provided a detailed scope of work for the areas of the house that had water damage, timely removal and repair of the spaces, and great recommendations for other contractors they have worked with for areas that needed repair they did not cover. We will definitely use them again if we need any restoration services.

I have know Chad for about 8-9 years know, I have even done work with chad to rebuild some of the emergencies he has done work on. I never thought I would need him to take care of a water emergency at my own place. Chad was nothing less that amazing with his explanation of how the process was going to go and his crew took care of my place in a few days. They did and awesome job and would recommend them to anyone if they have an emergency just like I did.
The lady who answered the phone was very professional and helpful. The estimator who came onsite was punctual. He seemed honest about what might need remediation and explained what he thought did not require attention. We received very professional looking, detailed estimates.
